SandBox Comments; Craig Daily Press "Craig Police Chief: ACET essential for fighting local drug trade"

A special thank you goes out to Chief Walt Vanatta of the Craig Police Dept. for standing up publicly on behalf of the All Crimes Enforcement Team.

Walt Vanatta, Craig Police Department chief, about the importance of the All Crimes Enforcement Team:
“I don’t see how individually any of us could accomplish what the task force can. … A multi-agency task force breaks down jurisdictional boundaries. Officers are free to work wherever the investigation takes them, and if necessary, get additional support from those (partnering) agencies.”

Just went in and read this Craig Daily article yesterday when nanny put this post up. Why do these newspapers write that stuff?

When the trouble hits, like it did with the dangerous guy and the Hayden meth lab, these reporters and editors are all over that like white on rice talking up how great cops are. While same cops are shielding them behind protective barricades.

We need more money for boots on the ground. We need stronger protections and laws. We need zero tolerance policy for any drugs, gangs and cartels.

What we don't need are more reporters and writers like the Craig Daily.

The kind of guy who writes stuff like that is the same guy that demands the police protection and likely runs the other way when the bullets start to fly or the meth lab threatens to blow.

it's the kind of guy who would never have the guts to tip off the cops something big's going down and is the kind of voter that always has the loudest opinion and then won't stand up and back the best candidate who might also be the least popular candidate.

Leave the ACET up in Craig country. They're doing a heckuva a good job. Stay the course.
