SandBox Comments: The Right Scoop "Full Speech: Benjamin Netanyahu speech to United Nations "

Netanyahu's speech to United Nations in its entirety.

The BBC cut it off mid-way, but a number of outlets, including The Right Scoop have posted.

A widely praised speech that is notably of a higher caliber than the speech given by President Obama.

Not just that Netanyahu speaks of specific solutions, the man has an inherent ability to command his audience.  His strength as a leader and the confidence that seems to come from his battlefield experience inspire trust.

Truly a brilliant speech.

SandBox Comments: Aspen Times/Paul Nitze "Deregulation isn't the answer"

It is such a great column this week.  From Paul Nitze.

Up on The Aspen Times.

Nitze often captures the balance in the middle that many conservatives crave from liberal values.

Too bad Nitze not only didn't use enough care in choosing an on point headline; meandering along the 'Ayn Rand' path with great content, only to end up with this buzz killer statement is disappointing:

"There is no substitute for a coordinated effort, led by the federal government..." (Paul Nitze)

What's up with that liberal Pavlovian response that it has to be the federal government that runs everything?

Wonder what would happen if someone as capable and astute as Paul Nitze took a walk on the wild side of life with some of those middle of the road conservatives instead of hand-in-hand with Ayn Rand?

Just say, YES!!!

Gaming and lottery proceeds in Colorado fund Parks and Rec.  Except for a small amount of gaming proceeds that fund post secondary education.

Not millions of dollars per year, but billions of dollars per year is the bottom line when our gaming industry stacks into our lottery sales.

Imagine if we followed the example of other states in the nation.

Split the total gains between funding for our public education system, road and bridge, conservation, human services and parks and rec.

Yowza!  A cash cow.

Now, wouldn't that be better than adding more onto the already burdened backs of the folks?

Imagine 'West Glenwood Ghettos' with a small, completely restricted to meet the concerns of all the folks on the potential unsavory aspects of bringing in gaming; casino.  Or maybe Snowmass Village.  Or Edwards.
