SandBox Comments: Glenwood Springs Post Independent "Correction: Antero drilling on Silt Mesa"

Let's see if we can bring this very significant "error" in reporting by John Colson against Antero Resources, off the 'buried in the cellar' pages of the Glenwood Springs Post Independent and out into the bright sunshine and light of day:

John Colson:
"A Feb. 10 story about Antero Resources' plans for gas drilling in the Cactus Valley area near Silt mischaracterized the company's statements.

If the Cactus Valley federal drilling unit is fully developed using current technology, it will involve construction of up to 65 drilling pads, with the potential for multiple wells from each pad, according to Kevin Kilstrom, Antero vice president.

In addition, leases included in the federal unit will not be extended indefinitely, and the length of extensions will be governed by the unit agreement with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, Kilstrom said."

"Unapologetically pursuing and tracking patterns within the news others make since 2010."

Very cool. Funny how that works.

A handful of people start standing up, then one or two get a lot of publicity. Pretty soon public exposure standing up to break the hold. Before we know it that power hold is broken adn there's no place for covert operations run by gangs of power over the commons.

This is what it takes now. People like Dave Moore, John Martin, corporations that are tired of getting shoved around by out of control power employing bullies with a lot of ink supply. People like Wilson, Schilling and O'Connor and Vallario standing up.

Life in the valley and corridor has changed for good. And that's a good thing.
