This is such a good editorial and so out of character for the PI to show some cajones to the city and county; I'm not even going to give them more of a hard time than I just did.
We've already got two spots in West Glenwood that serve the needs perfectly. It is just as far and just as easy for a commuter to drive from east/south Glenwood out to west Glenwood to park and ride as it is the other way around. Besides the main target is down valley commuters not in-town commuters. The goal has to be keeping traffic off Grand and off the bridge. Especially during construction. The intersection of Rudds is one of the worst in town. Pay attention to how many cops we've got sitting on that stretch from 82 on down to Alpine Bank. Cars fly on that stretch and it is not the perfect spot for a major transit hub. Somebody's going to get run down trying to cross that intersection to get to a bus hub.
Put the whole thing in west Glenwood.
