These are not new ideas coming from Huntsman. Nor are they gutsy or radical. Raising retirement age should have been done 15 years ago or more and is as easy as a legislative amendment to existing law.

There’s no reason to adjust amount of payment. The concept would never make it through the politics.

I find it ironic that we can feed, clothe, shelter and give free medical to illegals to the tune of billions of dollars each year while being outraged at the idea of giving Americans the right to choose whether or not they want to buy into the social security program.

The biggest argument against choice is that the government could be stuck taking care of a pro-choice citizen when they’re in need at an older age. And the difference is?

Huntsman hardly seems serious. Never hear much about him, press is giving no love. No matter from the sound of it. He'll just run as an Independent if he doesn't make the primary. Just might be what he's waiting for so he doesn't have go up against the juggernaut of Perry. He'd beat Romney in a heartbeat.
