SandBox Comments: Glenwood Springs Post Independent " County cautious but interested in Silt economic development plans"

They are not "cautious".

They're stunned.

What does our beloved Silt Mayor say?

“I plead guilty to shortsightedness,” said Silt Mayor Dave Moore."

lol.

Lordy, lordy...here we go!  Now they've done it.

If there's anything that gets Silt revved up it's waving a red flag challenge in front of them.

Go, Dave!

(whisper...whisper...Silt's the 'folks in the shadows' capital of the world....whisper...whisper...takes a lot of guts to ignore that fact...whisper...whisper...doesn't John Martin have an election year coming?....whisper...whisper...best he be thinking about that now....we really want a grocery store....whisper...whisper....hooah.)

We live in Silt area because we do not make a living wage up valley.

Is there some part of that statement the man and the company store don't understand?

We want our own grocery store so we can save the fumes of our gas tanks to drive up valley and scrub your loo and build your houses.

You can cut Lou's budget for wildfire fighting and force them to no pay raises but can't spend a part of the $5 million large he put back in your cash flush already wallet to give us the money to build a store for food?

War has just been declared at the conservative polls.

No worries. It's all good. Silt will prevail.

Dave and team will learn the ropes fast enough and this will go through.

The BOCC does need a wake-up call on political levels. They've been moving along at a good clip on the codes and energy but things are lagging in the smaller stuff.

There's people hurting out here and it's a rainy day.
