We've had more deaths so far this year than we've ever had. Accidents and avalanches. The best gift I think I ever game my family especially my kids is avalanche awareness and safety training. If you're going out there then know what you're doing and don't take chances. Never go alone and make sure you're geared. Know what you're doing. Realize how much it costs in dollar figures to go get you when you have a problem. Buy a CORSAR. Donate extra money to the cause when you do. That couple bucks doesn't go far enough. You see that fracture in this photo? All that snow could be on top of you. Be careful out there.
