"Krauthammer can’t make heads nor tails of Bill Clinton’s backtrack today on repealing the Bush tax cuts:
“I think a concise way to summarize that is it depends what ‘is’ is. I mean I write for a living and I’ve edited in my day and I’ve edited some lousy copy but I can’t make heads or tails of this. It’s really uneditable. In fact in psychiatry there’s a term if you get a raving psychotic who comes in the door and makes no sense, you say he’s speaking in ‘word salad’. This is ‘word salad’ with a vinaigrette on top.”...." (Read more? Click title)

"It’s about time we get the ball rolling on this. I worry it could just be posturing, but hopefully this will turn into a contempt charge because there is no way Holder’s going to comply:
Washington Examiner – House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, and House party leadership confronted Attorney General Eric Holder for not cooperating with the investigation into Operation Fast and Furious in a letter today.(Read more? Click title)
The letter — signed by Boehner, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., and House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee chair Darrell Issa, R-Calif., — increases the likelihood that House Republicans will pursue contempt charges against Holder if he does not turn over documents pertaining to the gunwalking scheme.
“As co-equal branches of the U.S. Government, the relationship between the Legislative and Executive branches must be predicated on honest communications and cannot be clouded by allegations of obstruction,” the House leaders wrote. “If necessary, the House will act to fulfill our Constitutional obligations in the coming weeks.”....."

SandBoxBlogs: Right Scoop "ZoNation: Ted Nugent gets a visit from the Secret Service. So when will the Secret Service visit Eminem?"
I try to stay away from watching the worst of hate rhetoric in politics. All these news articles and videos, tweets and comments that are out there. The music videos, pundits..it just seems to never end and I can see nothing positive in any of it.
Once in awhile, when something happens that triggers a rash of violent speech, there arises out of the cess pool a story that helps, in my view, to get the point across that there is a serious imbalance out there in how the media reports factual content.
The Rush Limbaugh and Sandra Fluke contention was one such story.
Expertly stood up to by Rush and mirrored back to the left.
When one keeps a score card, just for the sake of verifying 'which side' is really the majority antagonizer; one finds the answer is the liberal side. Especially with the obstructions provided to them against the conservative side through the use of mainstream media.
Next up in the volatile content arena in the race to the White House 2012; is rocker Ted Nugent. An icon to those of us who graduated high school in the 1970's, Nugent has found himself once again in hot water because of his outspoken tendency to 'tell it like it is'.
Earning himself a visit from the Secret Service recently, the resulting outrage throughout the nation (actually turning global from the looks of things, Nugent is truly an icon) has finally wound up to the point that 'SandBox Nanny' has been waiting for.
"What about Eminem? When are the feds going to come down on the 'music-terror' pumped out by rocker Eminem?"
Sounds like the battle cry of conservative (and many liberal women as well) women over not receiving their 'phone call from the President' like Sandra Fluke received, doesn't it? From the looks of things out there at this time, Nugent's fans are doing as expert of a job as Rush and Newt have as they've taken on the biased media this election season.
You will need to click title on over to Scoop's site in order to watch the ZoNation video. I do not want it embed here on SandBox. It is troubling content but keen in its accurate perceptions.
A must watch.
Scoop:
"Ted Nugent, the Motor City Madman, engaged in hyperbole when discussing President Obama. Eminem and Common said some horrible things about President Bush. So why did the Nuge get a visit from the Secret Service, but not Eminem or Common? Hear what Zo thinks as he explains the double standard that allows liberals to engage in aggressive speech, but not conservatives....." (Read more? Click title)

SandBoxBlogs: Right Scoop "Tapper grills Carney on Obama’s non-stop campaign travel mixed with “official” business"
Dan Cleary:
"Jake Tapper did a great job putting Jay Carney on the spot today, asking him a pointed question about Obama’s seemingly non-stop campaign travel, the fact that most of his trips just happen to be in battleground states, and whether this means taxpayers are basically footing the bill for Obama’s campaign.
Of course, Carney denied the whole premise of the question. I guess we’re supposed to file all those campaign stops under “Official Presidential Business”, pretend the White House isn’t paying attention to what is or isn’t a battleground state, and take Carney at his word that the Obama campaign is going “by the book” when it comes to funding all these trips.
In other words, he thinks we all just fell off the turnip truck...." (Watch video? Click title)

The problem with Obama is that he sees American strength as provocative, when in fact it’s the exact opposite. It’s American weakness that’s provocative and we have a president who specializes in it.Bolton also gave advice on how to treat our allies:
"If you watch how the Obama administration has performed with respect to Iran and it’s nuclear weapons and it’s support for terrorism, versus how our president has treated Israel, it’s very clear: if you want to know how to treat a close ally, look at how Barack Obama has treated Israel and then do the exact opposite."..."(Watch the full speech? SandBoxBlogs: Right Scoop "Bret Baier GRILLS Jay Carney over Senate refusal to vote on budget in over 1,000 days"
Scoop:
"Once again Bret Baier steps up to the plate and holds this administration’s feet to the fire over their dishonest arguments about getting a budget passed in Congress. Carney seeks to blame Republicans, but Baier won’t let him get away with it, citing both that Obama’s budget was voted on in the House (and unanimously failed) AND that the Senate won’t even put it up for a vote. Carney dodges, but Baier continues to grill him, noting the Senate has the 51 votes needed to pass it. After 3 minutes, Baier finally decides they need to move on to another point.
Gold....." (Watch the exchange on video? Click title)

Scoop:
"Sounds like Netanyahu is making the case for military action against Iran and is prepared to give Obama the finger should he object:
"Sounds like Netanyahu is making the case for military action against Iran and is prepared to give Obama the finger should he object:
JERUSALEM POST – Saying publicly in the Knesset what he only said privately to Congressional leaders in Washington last week, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Wednesday stressed Israel would act to defend itself even if the US objected.
“Israel has never left its fate in the hands of others, not even in the hands of our best friends,” he said in a speech that focused on the Iranian threat and drew a direct line from Tehran to the events earlier this week in Gaza. He also blamed the 2005 disengagement from the Gaza Strip for leading to Iran’s establishment of a “forward” terrorist base there.
Netanyahu cited legendary US Secretary of State George Marshall as telling David Ben-Gurion in 1948 not to declare a state, and reminded the Knesset that US President Lyndon Johnson not only advised Israel against preemptive military action in 1967, but warned that “if you act alone, you will be alone.” Likewise, he said Prime Minister Menachem Begin knew when he decided to attack the Iraqi nuclear reactor in 1981 that he was going against US wishes and would come under sharp international criticism. “But he fulfilled his obligation and acted,” said Netanyahu, possibly preparing the public for the prospect of Israeli military action even over US objections.
Netanyahu said that a nuclear Iran would pose an “existential threat” to Israel, and that while he preferred if Iran would voluntarily abandon its nuclear ambitions, he had an “obligation” to retain Israel’s “independent ability” to defend itself...." SandBox Comments: Right Scoop "Observations from the Sheriff’s stoop"
lol.
'SandBox Nanny' puts this one in the justice and crime section of today's posts. Why, you ask?
Because she is reminded of the classic line mothers use the world over:
'Wait until your father gets home.'
BTW, 'kids'. Anybody noticing how your comments that you continue to insist on sending to 'the mailbox' aren't getting posted up? Could it be because 'SandBox Nanny' meant what she said a month or so ago? That she just no longer has the time to daily pull everything out from that 'secretly hidden mailbox located in the secure server that's hidden somewhere northwest of DeBeque?" And that you needed to start posting your comments directly? Hmmmm....
Just wait until your father gets home.

Diaz was arrested, indicted by a federal grand jury and sentenced to two years for the use of unreasonable force. Unreasonable force which consisted of (are you ready for this?) lifting the teenagers arms...."

SandBox Comments: The Right Scoop "Full Speech: Benjamin Netanyahu speech to United Nations "
Netanyahu's speech to United Nations in its entirety.
The BBC cut it off mid-way, but a number of outlets, including The Right Scoop have posted.
A widely praised speech that is notably of a higher caliber than the speech given by President Obama.
Not just that Netanyahu speaks of specific solutions, the man has an inherent ability to command his audience. His strength as a leader and the confidence that seems to come from his battlefield experience inspire trust.
Truly a brilliant speech.
