SandBox Comments: Glenwood Springs Post Independent "Bebb-Jones preliminary hearing continued"

Interesting to note that it is actually John Colson, here on the Glenwood Springs Post Independent, who curbs the impulse to inflame and weave threads of 'a story' on the Bebb-Jones hearing.

And one of our most (still is) respected reporters on the Western Slope, Dennis Webb, is the one who surprisingly weaves a tale surrounding the hearing  albeit likely that he's doing so verbatim.

From both reporters, the sounds of things leans toward plenty of story weaving to go around yesterday in the courtroom.

So, Colson gets the nod from the local avatar community and our thanks for keeping a balanced tone with factual rather than inflaming content on this story.

"Unapologetically pursuing and tracking patterns within the news others make since 2010."

'SandBox Nanny' is not sure what to do with comments and moderation on Marcus Bebb-Jones news now that it is coming back into the public eye.

When Bebb-Jones was still under investigation, then moved into extraditing there was a great deal of mischief on our blog sites from a negative 'predator' style troll(s). Obviously attempting to discredit us, the Garfield County Sheriff's Dept., DA Beeson and disrupt the works. At that time, 'SandBox Nanny' decided to turn those comments and their attached negative viral link baits, over to law enforcement. Wise choice, that. Now that she can look back and see how well that action now covers everyone's needs going forward.

This morning she has decided to leave public commentary open on Bebb-Jones news.

Comments will be moderated.

Oh, yes! Should there be any mischief with intent from any commentator, she still has contact with the same law enforcement who remain watching that known problem and she will immediately turn it over to their capable hands. She suspects that they are very much in a no-more-nonsense frame of mind.

Since anonymous shadow folk have grabbed attention paid again to what we have to say, I think I'll set my aim tonight on Martin Beeson's campaign for a 3rd term in office.

Let's put some perspective on Bebb-Jones.See if I'm reading these articles right. Even spent some time on the phone this evening with suit asking him some tech questions. Way I hear it is that a preliminary trial isn't an auto thing. In this case brought because the defense lawyers seem to think they have another case of 90/10. 90% speculation and 10% evidence that might need some answering.

How many of these does this make now in Martin's regime? Way too many so I'm going to narrow it down to a couple that have hurt a lot of lives, completely discredited communities in 2 counties and cost the taxpayers a small fortune. Snider and Lofgren.

There’s some info missing from my data. Because that info is locked up tight with Beeson and he won't let it out. Commissioners aren't making him, either. Money accountability to the folks. So this "coward" shadow man is going to use that missing fact to smear and drag those same 2 counties that were Snider and Lofgren through the dirt in my comments and now add Garco into the mix until I get some answers in our local press.

Only problem in Snider was how to deal with the guys mental state. Even cops think it never should have gone to trial and wouldn't have if defense had been listened to in getting the guy committed for life. Instead our grandstand D.A. spent a couple years of time, pumped up the trolls in Rio Blanco and stood by while they virus’d their poison all over the web. Didn't do a thing to stop the parts of that problem that were criminal. When it turned out there were a couple of jurors doing the virus pushing, Beeson still did nothing in going after stopping it. Ended up a hung jury with Nichols moving them down to Glenwood. 2nd trial same problem. Stuff isn't just all over the web by then it's picked up by national news and smeared over media. Gets worse when the inside of this DA office mentality every day is shown to the entire new jury in an email accident at trial. All of this only to end up with Snider sentenced to a lot less than what Martin wanted for prison and this man still mentally unfit. How much money? Money matters when all of it was unnecessary, 2 counties are degraded in public eyes and our courts and jurors are mocked. For a case that should never have gotten as far as it did and the web still plastered with troll poison that can't ever be cleaned up. In this "cowards" eyes, I'm thinking the bill is probably a few hundred thousand for everybody and the cost to our district is priceless.

Lofgren had to be the worst prosecutor story of all Colorado history. There we're looking at least close to a million in costs and Pitco folks never being able to shake off how bad they feel for what happened in those cases. I personally know those men charged and their lives will never be the same. god only knows what the family is going through. Never should have happened.

Now we're here at Bebb-Jones and it's 90/10 again? Our juries are noted for having fair judgment and brains. Just the facts is how we roll in our counties. Here's what this taxpaying voter wants to know. How much money did it take for a couple yrs. of cops, 2,3, 4 trips over to the UK when you add up state paid defense counsel, extradition, a year or more of housed at Lou's, defense attorneys and court costs just to be sitting in another 90/10 scenario?

sooner or later bebb-jones will get to the end. whether or not the facts get told is always another story. but if the fact that cops didn't investigate why Sabrina wanted a divorce and the type of men she like extra curricular with then they didn't do their jobs. whether or not that fact gets looked at and how it could be one of many who did the deed then that's another story. the point that none of it should be a story and all of it should be just the facts is a good one.

And there's the rub.

These local lawyers need to get their game on and get somebody up to bat. It's only 4 years that you're working for public servant wages. Go back to your $400 an hour rate of pay after you do a stint of civic duty. Take a page from Lawson, Chip, Tom. There is success after being a prosecutor. You can always go back and in the meantime you expand your skills and do the most public service this district has ever needed.

You don't even need experience per se, Beeson had little to none. You can even go for on the job training and follow his footsteps. A civil lawyer good businessman doesn't necessarily a prosecutor make.

For sure if the suit and tie and lady suits don't give voters an option then we can't help with landslide victory. Remember now, even if you're a democrat we'll help put you in. Even a liberal can't destroy the money as much as Beeson has. And him trying to make us believe he's a tea party ticket.

Time for a change in the 9th. While we're at it any commissioner up for re-elect who doesnt' get some judicial costs numbers held up to sunlight is going to be looking for work with Martin.

Every now and again there do come signs of hope that the Glenwood Springs Post Independent is starting to get it.

But then again it could just be another abysmal performance at the Colorado Press Assoc. awards with the Sentinel and Steamboat Today leaving them in the dust and way behind.

Who knew Bebb-Jones was going to be such a sordid tale? It only took him 3 years but it sounds like Beeson finally has his stump. Don't be forgetting that it was Lofgren and Bebb Jone that he used as the excuse when it was obvious he would lose to Scott Tipton for the 3rd. All this rhetoric that nobody will run against him because of his upstanding record is total bunk. The proof that it's the worst record in district attorney history for the 9th is in the details of that record. But man, he sure does weave a good story doesn't he? How much is this costing us?
