This is a great example of what I personally find offensive from Sal Pace. I have yet to read a press coverage on him that does not include 'flamers'.
That tendency could be chalked up to just political stumping if it was not, whenever he is called on the lack of fact, foundation or simply that his statement is disingenuous, if he didn't immediately reverse himself each time and slip-slide away in the other direction.
Just say YES to Congressman Scott Tipton (R-Colorado).

Tipton also said his pledge against funding projects specific to his district, shared by many in Congress, is an obstacle to the project.
“We have a rule in the House of Representatives for no earmarks,” he said.
Tipton explained that any project that stands alone is an earmark, but those that can be conducted nationwide are not.
“The definition of an earmark is one specific locale,” he said. “It has to be available across the nation, so that you’ve got to have an instance of more than one.”
The asbestos project in Pueblo undoubtedly would be an earmark, Tipton said.
Pace said he doesn’t care how the demolition gets done, as long as it does.
“I think the feds and the state are both to blame,” he said. “We should quit trying to pass the buck and we should all put aside our bickering and figure out a way to get it done. I don’t care if the state does it or the feds do it.
“If the feds do it and Scott Tipton takes the lead, I’m personally going to give him credit, because it’s not about who gets credit. It’s about making sure that kids in Pueblo aren’t breathing air laden with asbestos.”..." (Read more? Click title)

"WASHINGTON, D.C. — Following a request from Rep. Scott Tipton (R-CO), the House Natural Resources Water and Power Subcommittee today announced that there will be a hearing to examine issues surrounding water storage in the West.
The hearing entitled, Water for Our Future and Job Creation: Examining Regulatory and Bureaucratic Barriers to New Surface Storage Infrastructure, is scheduled for Tuesday, February 7th at 10:00 a.m., in room 1324, Longworth House Office Building.

In his request for the hearing to Natural Resources Water and Power Subcommittee Chairman Tom McClintock, Tipton wrote last week:
The uncertainties of annual water availability can imperil those communities which are hindered by an unwieldy regulatory framework that hinders the ability to store water for vital purposes. Why are Western Colorado Independent Conservatives sending Rep. Scott Tipton (R-CO) back to Congress in 2012?
Because the seemingly small issues like this fence controversy in Grand Junction are normal, everyday problems that he handles.
Tipton's not only is doing a phenomenal job in Washington, he listens and stays in touch with his district.
He knows his citizens, works and walks among them as a common man and truly cares about their lives.
"...Rep. Tipton listened and took notes. He eventually took the floor and said he would be watching the developments. He said he was concerned about the fence's impact on the local economy, and said if needed, he would bring in the federal government. Kenyon said, "This is one of the most important, if not the most important airport in Western Colorado, something we've got to make sure is prospering to the best of our ability."
Rep. Tipton also hinted at the possibility that the Board's interpretation of regulations may be hindering local business. He said, "It is an example of where government regulations when they are interpreted certain ways are having definite impacts on people. We''ll be listening to the airport authority to be responsible to get this airport moving again."
According to board member John Stevens, no one from the board knew about the meeting, and only found out about it by watching 11 News."

Scott Tipton has done a terrific job. The best personality fit for the job of any candidate that was in the race.
SandBox is glad to see him running again and supports his race.
With that said, we don't blame him if this next stint in office is his last one. Anybody who would want to be a career politician in these times is an anomaly.

Washington, D.C. –Congressman Scott Tipton (R-CO) issued the following statement after the House failed to pass H.J. Res. 2: The Balanced Budget Amendment.
“We saw 261 Republicans and Democrats unite today to say ‘enough is enough’ to runaway spending, and I proudly joined in support of the Balanced Budget Amendment, which unfortunately fell short of the 2/3 majority needed to pass. Hearing cheers and applause on the floor at its failing says a lot—sadly.
“However, while this common sense solution failed today, there is still a significant opportunity to seriously address our country’s spending problem. We must meet our existing obligations, fulfilling the promise to our seniors and military, while fulfilling our obligation to ensure that our children and grandchildren have the opportunity to achieve the American dream....”

Congressman Scott Tipton (R-Colorado) doesn't do a lot of talking.
He's a listening kind of guy. Prefers to take what he hears, return to Washington and create the best balance for all sides.
He must be doing a good job because the sleaze attacks aiming at everything from all kinds of industries and their donors (not just oil and gas) donating to his campaign within all guidelines and regulations (to) attacks on his family have begun.
Thank you goes out to Congressman Scott Tipton for a job well done.
