"GRAND JUNCTION, Colo -- A family road trip to Denver and back is nothing out of the ordinary, except when the family is using that time to smuggle illegal drugs across the state.
About every ten days the drug ring shuffled more than two pounds of cocaine from Denver into Grand Junction, and it was a family business.
Federico Lerma allegedly used his 16-year-old son to distribute the drugs but his wife Dolores Flores and 19-year-old Blanca Lerma, their daughter, were also involved.
Federico and Blanca were arrested Sunday on their way back from one of their routine trips.
Authorities found more than two pounds of cocaine hidden inside the car's air filter. Blanca’s 7-month-old child was in the car at the time.
Officers later searched the family's home and found even more drugs...."
