SandBoxBlogs: Sister Toldjah "De Tocqueville foresaw Obama and the Progressive State"

'Phineas':
"My friend Michael Ledeen has a great essay at PJMedia arguing that Obama’s shocking remarks about the Supreme Court and his apparent questioning of judicial review the other day had nothing really to do with the Constitution, since it was all just politics to him, as his walk-back the next day and Eric Holder’s essay for 5th Circuit Court of Appeals showed.

What it was really about, Michael says, was power...." (Read more?  Click title)

SandBoxBlogs: Power Line "The Party of Hate"

John Hinderaker:
"Millions of Americans voted for Barack Obama in the hope that he would be a trailblazer who would conduct the presidency in a new way. Well, he has: Obama has been the most divisive president in our modern history, unabashedly stirring up hate against not only his political enemies, but against private citizens who exercise their right to participate in our democracy. The most recent hatefest has been directed against Rush Limbaugh, and Obama has personally stirred the pot.

Of course, Obama has had nothing to say about the far worse invective that his own supporters have directed against Republican women. As I noted yesterday, he was asked a question about the double standard in his press conference yesterday, and ducked it. Bill Maher, who has contributed $1 million to re-elect Obama, called Sarah Palin a “c***” and a “dumb t***.” (Hey, when Rush rips a Democratic Party activist, at least you can print what he said on a family web site.) Obama has never criticized Maher or any of his many other supporters and minions who have kept up a steady drumbeat of hate for years...."

SandBoxBlogs: Glenwood Springs Post Independent "Rush the uniter"

Kathleen Parker:
"WASHINGTON — Who'd have thought that Rush Limbaugh would become the great uniter in this divisive political season?

Indeed, he has united decent people of all stripes and persuasions with his vile remarks about a Georgetown Law student.

Perhaps by now you you've heard of Sandra Fluke, who created a smallish tempest when she tried to testify before a congressional committee considering the federal Health and Human Services contraception mandate and was denied a place at the (all-male) table. There really was no reason for her to testify. The subject was religious freedom versus government overreach, not contraception per se, but this detail no longer seems to matter.

Fluke stalked out of the hearing room and has enjoyed the media spotlight ever since. She did finally get to testify at an unofficial hearing convened by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, during which she focused on Republican “censorship,” which, fascinating as it sounds, was a sidebar to a non sequitur...."

SandBoxBlogs: Sister Toldjah "Where is MY phone call, President @BarackObama?"

'ST':
"...I’m sure some liberals would say that because I write under a pseudonym and the people who said the above quotes were anonymous, that what they said “doesn’t matter.” Even if that were true (it isn’t), what about the prominent conservative women like Sarah Palin and Michelle Malkin who HAVE been called disgusting terms – with malicious intent – by well-known Obama-supporting liberals like Bill Maher and others? Where are their phone calls, President Obama?

In seriousness, they don’t really want a phone call from you. Nor do I. Because, unlike “feminists” who try to pass 30 year-olds off as 23 year old “law students”, none of us are interested in playing the “victim card.” We’ll leave that to desperate “progressive” women who, most of the time, can only get attention on any given issue by lying their a**es off about it! It was worth writing this post, though, to point out the glaring hypocrisy of this administration that is supposedly so “concerned” with how “courageous” are treated when they speak out.

For the record, I’m with Malkin on the issue of Rush calling Sandra Fluke a “slut” – but that doesn’t mean Fluke and her feminist hangers-on in DC are off the hook for what they’re doing, either...."

SandBox Comments: Sister toldjah "#Fauxtrage Alert: Liberal feminista politicos stage whiny “walkout” over “no women on panel”"

ST:
"But hopefully nothing related to the brain, because clearly you aren’t using yours, hon.

Don’t you love the way these witches deliberately lie in order to manipulate The Faithful?  As Issa clearly noted, there WERE two women on the panel – but they were women opposed to the HHS mandate, so in the eyes of elite feministas like  Pelosi, Richards, and others, they are not “real women” and thus could hardly be “representative” of women across America because they don’t agree with liberal “feminists” on the issue of birth control trumping religious freedoms as guaranteed by the US Constitution.

And speaking of, you have to give it to these Democrat women on one thing: They’re openly against religious freedom and are not shy about expressing it.  Even if they had been shy about it, today’s shenanigans would have outed them like nothing else as being proponents of burning any part of the Constitution they believe conflicts with their “right” to terminate a developing unborn life.   This is evidenced especially by the fact that they wanted to change the subject of Issa’s panel on religious freedom to the topic of a “woman’s right to birth control.”   It’s the same thing they do on the issue of abortion itself: They never want to talk about the stages of development for an unborn child; in fact, they don’t want to talk  about the fact there is an unborn child at all. Their MO is to try to frame it as a “women’s rights” issue because they know if the central focus of the debate was on the child itself, they would never win on this issue.

Funny how “women’s rights” trump “religious rights”, eh? This would be insanely funny if not for the fact that these “womyn” were absolutely serious.  Those of you who think we ought to focus more on fiscal issues and leave the social issues for another day should always, always remember this....."
