SandBoxBlogs: The Hill "Santorum exits Presidential race"

Daniel Strauss:
"Rick Santorum dropped out of the presidential race Tuesday afternoon, essentially guaranteeing Mitt Romney the GOP nomination.

Santorum announced that he is suspending his campaign at an event in his home state of Pennsylvania — his first public appearance following the release of his daughter Bella from the hospital and after he took a break from the campaign trail for a long Easter weekend...."  (Read more?  Click title)

Just call him Mr. President. Half the democrats won't vote for Obama again, few independents will and no conservatives will.

As lousy of a choice as Mitt Romney is out of the field we had to work with, he is still light years ahead of Obama.

But there's no way I'll be able to dredge up enthusiasm for the man.

So I guess it's time to focus on senate and congress races nationwide and call it a day. With any luck he won't pick Santorum as veep and will at least give us Newt or Jindal.

Romney will at least bring halfway conservative values to the White House. The only saving grace will be who he picks as a VP. Jindal would have been a good match for Perry not Romney. Jeb Bush is as weak as Romney is. Santorum will always be a yes man to the man. He's a wild card but the only one strong enough to give us something, anything at all in leadership is Newt as VP.
