SandBoxBlogs: Customs and Border Protection "CBP Officers at Del Rio Port Seize Assault Rifles, Ammo"

(See related videos here and here)

There is a traceable dynamic going on here.

Guns and ammo going out??  Drugs coming in???

How informed is your vote?  When you cast for any politician albeit local (Say NO to Glenwood Springs City Councilman Leo McKinney if he runs again...), state (Say NO to Rep. Jared Polis (D-Boulder) or national (Say YES to anyone BUT Barack Obama...) how informed are you on the dynamic stated above?

Seriously.

Del Rio, Texas – A Ciudad Acuña man is in custody after attempting to smuggle assault rifles and ammunition out of the United States.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Del Rio port of entry selected a 1992 GMC pickup truck for inspection as the vehicle was leaving the United States, bound for Mexico. After interviewing the driver and five passengers, CBP officers noticed that several areas of the pickup appeared to have been tampered with, prompting officers to have the vehicle scanned with a non-intrusive imaging system.

The scan revealed eight assault rifles and 640 rounds of ammunition hidden throughout the vehicle. The driver, a 23-year-old resident of Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico, was arrested and turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.

“We are committed to keeping weapons and ammunition from both entering and leaving the country illegally,” said Michael Perez, CBP port director, Del Rio. “Officer training and experience are vital tools in intercepting a variety of prohibited items.”

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the management, control and protection of our nation's borders at and between the official ports of entry. CBP is charged with keeping terrorists and terrorist weapons out of the country while enforcing hundreds of U.S. laws."

"Unapologetically pursuing and tracking patterns within the news others make since 2010."

Anybody who votes for a politician that does not have awareness of that dynamic needs to have their voter card pulled. Every safety and security we hold dear as Americans is tied up in our border control. Have said it many times before that until we start making it hurt, either through the offending country of origin's wallet and/or the politicians that interfere with border security, we cannot hope that our agents and cops can keep up with it all. Make the retaliating fines steep, deep and so they hurt. That will do more to stop a lot of this than anything else.

I've always wondered how we track this kind of thing. Pretty overwhelming to think that simply because we can't keep it all tracked and counted we have no way for law enforcement to keep it all safe. Sounds like the illegal foreign nationals problem, doesn't it? Makes you really stop and understand why people don't talk and stay silent. We can't even track it all. Greatest nation in the world and we're stopped by politics.

Quit kidding yourselves that these guys and the DEA don't know where the routes and pipelines are. Their the sneakiest narcs around and they have beautiful dogs. The best dogs. Their problem is that they don't know how to talk to real people. If they aren't disguised they can be spotted just like any fed. Why aren't we building more of these kinds of intel centers so the info isn't just on the borders? Locals in every state know just from listening around what's out there. Gather it up and put it under the roof of these kinds of facilities. Get a narc off the street so they quit sneaking around.

Nah, they'd really freak out then. Upset the cosmic equation too much and our entire valley economic system would collapse. Besides, where would they put the thing? At Lou's? Or maybe down with road and bridge. Someday I really need to get a tour into those shop buildings those boys have and see what they're really working on. Taco just took him home so he could rest up, sober up for tomorrow. Probably snagged the computer before somebody could stop him. He's OK, mandy. Just happy.

He was just tying a rare one on. Not a bad thought giving Schrant and Lou one of the intel centers. Make it the mountain hub. Put it in Rifle.
