SandBox Comments: Denver Post "Defiant Iran claims major steps in nuclear fuel"

After nearly four years of the most inept foreign policy we have ever had sitting in the Oval Office, what does Western Colorado GOP do at caucus?

Stand for the one candidate that cannot possibly beat Barack Obama  in November 2012.   Mitt Romney.

Is Rick Santorum, who the rest of Colorado went for, any better?  He at least stands a chance to win because he is  a conservative, not a progressive like Romney.  Is he right for the job?  Absolutely not.  Santorum has little to no foreign policy experience and has yet to define his foreign policy platform into anything that makes sense.  It's weak, at best.

Where does the Colorado Tea Party go at caucus time?  To Ron Paul.  Who has the most dangerous to Americans foreign policy in history.

Remember Dan Maes.  That shining example of what a divided Colorado is capable of.  The worst showing in a poltical contest in our history.

Mitt Romney is Colorado's Dan Maes.  Ron Paul is Colorado's Tom Tancredo.

If you're not concerned over the timing of this election season dragging on with no stability in sight and how that affects the growing crisis in the middle east; you're not paying attention.

We do not have leadership either in office or leading the primary. Newt is the only one left that has leadership skill, knowledge of America's world security needs and the experience to make it all work.

All this trivial fussing with an establishment GOP that has allowed this primary to be held akin to a circus; means nothing.

God help us, I'm reminded of George W. Bush's first term and 9/11. Put any of the conservative choices, other than Newt, and we may as well re-elect Obama. We need a leader with courage, skill and experience in governing. Newt Gingrich.

Rasmussen has Santorum up over Romney, in first place by 12 points. Newt's in third and climbing on Romney. Romney's low enough on cash the reports are he's going to have to self-fund. Now that is all shades of election cycles past with Romney. When it comes to using his own money, he drops off. Won't do it. He loses another state or two and Santorum will leap with Newt on his heels. Don't underestimate the street savvy politics of Gingrich, he knows what he's doing. In a contest without Mittens, Santorum will slide backward.

At least we can hope.
